Historic
elections

An Iraqi policeman delivers a ballot box of votes from a polling station to a central collection point in Baghdad, Iraq , Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. Last month's

Villagers drove down the road toward the town of Leupung, which was totally washed away by the giant tsunami on Dec. 26. Some have been returning to see if there was anything left of the homes.

An Acehnese man offers prayers at Lambada Lhok mosque devastated by the tsunami, northeast of Banda Aceh on the Indonesian island of Sumatra January 27, 2005. Indonesia said on Thursday it had buried more than 100,000 tsunami victims as government officials and rebel leaders from worst-hit Aceh province prepared to meet in Helsinki to revive peace talks.
