Modest


A cosmetics billboard advertisement of Sarah Jessica Parker, of the cable television show 'Sex in the City,' in Tel Aviv, Israel, Tuesday Nov. 23, 2004, ran afoul of religious groups. The top billboard shows Parker wearing a more revealing dress, while the bottom shows workers changing the billboard to more modest attire after members of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community threatened to boycott the company's products.

'Troubles
in Toyland'


The U.S. Public Interest Research Group released the results of a nationwide survey entitled 'Troubles in Toyland' warning parents that hazardous toys can still be found in stores across America during a news conference in Washington, November 23, 2004. In this U.S. Marine handout picture, which was released on November 23, 2004, Iraqi Special Forces and U.S. Marines from the 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, L Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment of the 1st Marine Division, conduct a security patrol towards the palm grove and clear buildings along the way in the war-torn city of Falluja. Iraq 's U.N. representative, Samir Shakir Sumaidaie, told Reuters that attacks on insurgents in Falluja made it easier to hold the elections because it had destroyed the base and infrastructure of groups seeking to rule the country.
